blizzard '08
Sooo, we just survived the blizzard of 2008 and it was a crazy one. First, I had to drive home in phase one on Friday afternoon, then stayed in until Sunday. Saturday was crazy, I just watched as the snow kept falling and I couldn't believe my eyes. I have never seen that much snow in my life! Not to mention in one day.
So, my car was parked in the garage, so Saturday night I shoveled in front of our garage, and come Sunday morning, of course, the plow came through and took over all my hard work the night before. So, 7:30 (really 6:30...daylight savings time) in the morning, I was out shoveling again. Then I made my hour drive into work thanks to the snow, and it was really scary. Cars in ditches, people spinning out right in front of me...not the most pleasent of mornings. Got to work and 4 of the 8 parties were cancelled, so worked 2 then came home to shovel out my boyfriend and his roommates. So, crazy weekend and I hear that we're expecting more...greeeat.
So because of the snow, my Bioethics final was cancelled, and now I'm facing the challenge of rescheduling that. It's getting really frustrating because I work every day this week, going into 10 at night, so I only have a couple opens times for it, especially with the fact that I'm leaving on Saturday morning. So, trying to find a time and going back and forth with emails to my professor is getting a little tiresome.
So this week...I don't know how I'm going to get through it. I took two more shifts at Supergames this week so I could make up for all the cancellations on Saturday along with the fact that I'm going out of town, so trying to get more money! Not to mention studying for finals and homework in between...I'm starting to regret my decision of taking on more shifts, but we'll see.
I hope everyone is safe after this weekend and all shoveled out. Have a great week and the next time I'll be doing this is from FLORIDA! Can't wait! That's definitely in the back of my head right now, unfortunately...
Take care-
Erin
