a few days off!

This week started off with meetings of course.  For PRSSA, we started an ODU Day Committee to help get more students to attend the activities PAC puts on for the annual ODU Day.  So what we're focusing on is bringing more commuters in as well as giving it a theme.  We came up with a lot of great ideas so I'm really looking forward to getting started on this campaign. 

I also scheduled classes for next year...weird.  To have my senior year planned out just makes it that much more realistic that I'll be graduating soon.  So, I think I signed up for around 5-6 PR courses.  I'm really excited because we're getting a full-time faculty memeber for PR so I'll probably be with them a lot which is really exciting for the PR department.  A lot of things have changed, and they're necessary steps to make the major that much better.

So, after a crazy busy week, I took Friday afternoon and Saturday off.  I got to hang out with my friends and Chris and watch some baseball.  Which I am proud to say that we're off to a good start!  We beat the number 2 ranked team (we're number 1) so that was good, and we continue to do well.  Although losing to last ranked Pointe Park wasn't that great on Monday, but we came back and beat them and Cedarville yesterday. 

I worked on Sunday, which was expected, and at the end of the day, I had the cutest yet worst feeling ever!  I was walking around holding the party parents 16 month old son, Jake, and after holding him for 15 minutes or so, his mom took him off my hands.  BUT he wouldn't go back to his mom and started crying to come back to me!  I felt SO bad, because I don't want to take that away from the mom, but she started laughing which made me feel a little better, but I still felt really bad.  The kid was SO cute! 

So we've had some nice weather the past few days only to be followed by dropping temperatures and rain.  BOO, just when we were starting to get used to it...but I guess I can't expect anything less because it's Ohio unforunately. 

This weekend should be fun.  I'm going to the PaRtner's Conference at OSU for PRSSA for good networking opportunities and to learn more about PR.  And after that, Chris and I are celebrating our year anniversary!  I can't believe it's been that long, but it's definitely been a great year and I'm looking forward to more!
