Having been at Ohio Dominican now for 8 months, I thought I would share with you some of the very exciting things going on around campus. Among the most notable "goings on" are the many cranes and bulldozers which are hard at work building our new residence hall and Student Center set to open in Fall 2008 and Fall 2009, respectively. These two buildings reflect a 30 million dollar investment in our campus and in a very bold way make clear that Ohio Dominican University is a college on the move!
In addition, our students are engaged in incredibly exciting experiences. This week alone we have 10 students in New Orleans and another 10 in New York City, all working in service projects for an alternative spring break experience. In just a few weeks, we will be sending another 10 students to Belize for a short term study abroad experience where they will study with our own Dr. Chad King in Environmental Science! Not to be out-done, another 12 students are deep into planning a full semester studying at Ohio Dominican's new Rome, Italy location!
You can see what I mean when I say we're a campus on the move!
Have a blessed and peaceful Easter!
