Back from Thanksgiving

Hi readers!

I hope that you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!  I know that I certainly enjoyed my time at home with my family.  I also enjoyed the large amount of food that I ate!  For Thanksgiving dinner we went to my Aunt Barbs, my mother’s oldest sister, who resides in Akron Ohio.  We left home at about 10:30, picked up my Great Aunt and Uncle and headed up the highway.

When we got there we jumped right into the kitchen to help prepare the food.  As usual my charge was the gravy, we never use a gravy mix, we start with the freshly baked turkey drippings and made it from there.  As usual, my Great Aunt Jewel was worried about the thickness of the gravy, and it did take multiple additions of thinking to get to the proper consistency.  Our gravy is usually a little but thinner than your typical gravy, however it is some of the best gravy I have ever had.   What a feast we had, all of the usual Thanksgiving culprits where there, the stuffing, sweet potatoes, and a ton of other things.

As if there was not enough of food, I was able to go to my fathers side of the family and had some more to eat, including the pumpkin pie that I missed before.  I also dropped off the pants I was wear for Grandma to sow the button back on.  It had fallen off due to wear; I did not eat that much that it popped off!!!  The my cousin got married on Saturday, and it was a great time.  My younger sister was a brides maid, and my mother did the reading during the ceremony.  It was a very nice time, Abby came as well.  We even danced.

Now I am back at ODU, and I only have two weeks of class and then exams.  WOW!  I can hardly believe it, there is so much to do that I better get on it.

So have a great week!

My Best,

Jeremiah
