Back to Elections
Hi Guys!
I hope that you all had a good week. It has been quite sometime since we last discussed the race for the President of America. Since is last wrote about it, primaries and caucuses have been held, candidates have dropped out, and we are just a few months away from the conventions. The democrats are almost the same place there were in the beginning, Hillary vs. Barack. It is true that there were some other candidates in there, but the media never gave anyone but Clinton and Obama a chance. You never really heard about John Edwards, and the only time they talked about Dennis Kucinich was discussions on leprechauns. So after many states have decided there delegates, Clinton and Obama are pretty much tied for the nomination, I don’t know, nor does anyone really know, who will win, either will make history.
In the field for the Republican nomination McCain is the front runner, he came from behind, most had written him off in July, and now he has 723 delegates. Romney has dropped out of the race, he was in second but is thinking about a Presidential bid in the future. Then we have Mike Huckabee, the candidate that I endorsed some time ago. Huckabee has 217 delegates, and now is a distant second, although he is still mathematically viable. He says he will stay in until McCain has the nomination, and may get a Vice-Presidency, or other higher-up Administrative position. We will have to see how the next few months go.
Back here at ODU everyone is excited for next week when the campus will meet the Candidates for Ohio Dominicans Presidency. My classes are going well, and Student Government is busy as ever. Well I have some Homework to get done, so have a great week!!!
