They call me Washington
HI!
My name is Jessica and I'm from Washington! No not Washington D.C. but Washington STATE! Wow you might say, that is a long ways to come to go to school, and you might ask why ODU? Well let me tell you, I chose ODU because it is a small, very friendly campus that seemed very nice and inviting when I came to visit. Also I am going to play softball here and I can't wait stuff to get started!
I am planning on being a business major, I want to get involved in advertising and coming up with the promotional ads and slogans for different companies.
I spend most of my time playing softball and hanging out with all the AWESOME new people I have met here at ODU! I can't wait to meet more people and get more involved in campus activities.
The first week of school is going pretty well, I have four classes and tons of homework. So far I have kept myself busy and am not too homesick yet. I have learned soo much in the first week, I have never heard of cornhole before I got here, but don't worry I now know what it is. I still have yet to play, so feel free if you see me to show me how its done. Also I didn't know what a Bob Evans was, I know even more SHOCKING! Again don't worry I now know it is resturant. I'm sure I still have a lot to learn about Ohio and can't wait to do so.
I have enjoyed watching all the thunderstorms, since we don't get them at home, as often as here. Even though people think that all it does is rain in Seattle, it doesn't rain like it does here, I have never seen it rain so hard in my life! Don't get me wrong though, we did set the record for the most consecutive days of rain last year!
If you have any questions about Washington, just give me a shout!
