DMC!
Bonjour!
This was another BIG week for Panther sports with the
Women’s soccer team, Men’s soccer team, and our football team having huge
victories. Way to go!
Mid-terms this week, I hope everyone is ready… but don’t
worry after mid-terms we get a well deserved break. Hopefully everyone gets to
go home and have a little visit with the fam. If not I’m sure there is plenty
of stuff to do in Columbus.
This weekend was the PANTHER SERIES! The weather was a
little hot but bearable, the competition was good, and the food even better. It
was great to see what the team looks like and to have the parents come out and
support. We put on our war paint and glitter, dressed in our uniforms and took
the field. Unfortunately, in the end it didn’t go the white teams way (which
was my team) but we put out a great effort and left it all on the field.
This weekend the first annual DMC took place right here in
your very own Columbus, Ohio. For all of you that don’t know the DMC is the
McDonald’s Dollar Menu Challenge, I know, INTENSE.
Here are the rules: Each person has to eat the same amount
of items and it has to be the same item. You are allowed a 3-minute pause but
you have to keep eating after that. If each person finishes all of their food
then we go to a tiebreaker; 2 Apple pies, if both people finish the 2 apple
pies. Well that has yet to be determined but let’s hope that it never comes to
that, come on people its McDonalds.
Our 2 competitors this week were our assistant coach
Bramhall and Jaime Hazel. J. Haze was the underdog and everyone thought for
sure that our Bramhall would pull through with the victory, she started out
strong but when it came down to the fruit and yogurt parfait it got close, in
the end the underdog pulled through and earned the victory! J. Haze even went
so far to capture the victory and defeat on video.
Good luck with mid-terms and enjoy fall break!
