Black Friday gone bad...
Gobble Gobble!
Happy Turkey Day!!
Wow a four-day break goes by way to fast I can’t believe it.I have spent about ten hours’ give or take of my break on a plain. That is waytoo much excitement for me. Break was great though, I got to see my family and playwith my new puppy, who by the way is much cuter in real life. He is a snugglerand loves to curl up inside your sweatshirt and go to sleep.
I ate way too much on Thanksgiving, I’m sure you did too. Itwas worth all the hours of preparing for the twenty minutes of eating that tookplace. Then the tryptophan set in and it was lights out for me.
After all the eating and napping took place we preparedourselves for Black Friday. This year our local mall thought it would be a goodidea to open at midnight. So before the opening they had music and snacks butas midnight drew closer the anticipation built for the mall doors to open. Assoon as they opened you heard loud cheers and people raced into the doors. Nowlets just step back for a moment and let me tell you why everyone was therebecause I don’t really know myself. First of all not all the stores were goingto be open, in fact I only think about ten stores were open. Next you couldenter to win prizes from a drawing but you had to be present to win andhonestly people there are 20,000 of you, who wants to stay at the mall till 5amand hope they win a prize. The odds are against you folks. So back to story, there was a loud cheer and a rush into the mall. My mom and I were with my auntand cousins and they have little kids so we went to the Disney store…badchoice. It was a task just getting into the Disney store because people were sojammed packed next to each other it was hard to move anywhere. Once we got intothe store it was like a movie where everyone wants the same toy and is runningto get it, my poor mom and I were just innocent bystanders. So now there wereabout 500 people in the Disney store and no one could move, the fire departmentwouldn’t have approved. They finally came up with the brilliant idea that theyshould monitor how many people went into the store. They are geniuses. Overallit was a very stressful experience and I probably would never do it again. Nexttime I will be like all the normal people and just get in line at store where Iactually want something at 2am and wait for it to open at 5. Just a thoughtthough.
I hope everyone had a fabulous turkey day, and don’t worryyour lovely children will be returning home in about 3 weeks.
