A new beginning...

Hi my name is Joey Rodenfels and I am a freshmen here at Ohio Dominican. I am from Columbus, Ohio and have lived here all my life. I went to DeSales high school which is aobut 20 minutes away from campus. I play wide receiver for the panther football and I'm really enjoying it. Being on the team had helped me meet many new people which i think is very important coming into a new school. I live in Fitzpatrick Hall with a buddy from high school who I've known for a long time. I thought dorm life would be really hectic and annoying but so far, I;m doing just fine. My roommate and I are getting along great and we're having a great time.

Coming into college i thought classes would be impossible, nothing like high school. I was pretty wrong. I think since it's such a small school with small classes, it's just like high school. My biggest class might reach 35 students. I really like this because it allows me to be closer with my professors and able to talk to them one on one at any time. If i had 300 people in my classes, I'd never be able to talk to my professor like I'm capable of doing now. This really helps me when it comes to my schooling because it's so easy to just go to one of their offices to sit and talk with them. They are very good at having an open door policy and being able to talk most of the time.

I like all my professors and I think they will really help me become a great student and person by the time I graduate from Ohio Dominican. So far I am really enjoying my time here at ODU and am only looking forward to what the future has in store for me.
