back to school

I have had a pretty busy week here. First of all, I still donot have a regular source of the internet. We called the company yesterday andthey said we will have it Tuesday morning. It is very annoying. We weresupposed to have it last week and the company keeps pushing it back.

I have done some interesting things in the city. I didsomething called “Chalk the Walk”. I got do draw and write whatever I wanted onthe sidewalk and the sides of the walkway. It was a lot of fun, except itstarted to rain on me. Another thing I did that got rained on was “From Scoreto Screen”. The Wellington City Orchestra played songs from movies like “HarryPotter” and “Indiana Jones”.

I took a ferry boat ride out to an island. I forgot thename. It was very nice. I walked along the beach and had fish and chips. Thefish and chips were wrapped up in paper so you could take it away. The fish wasvery good.

I had my first day of school yesterday. It was really weirdbecause there are a good 200 people in each one. That is a little scary comparedto ODU size. I do not have any classes on Tuesday, which I am very excitedabout. I am not too sure what I will do with myself probably study, or not.

I decorated my room yesterday. It looks really awesome withthe free flyers I got from orientation. I also cut out pictures from magazines. It looks a lot better than the plan, white walls.

Mondays are my days to cook for the flatmates. My meal was avery interesting concoction. It had pasta noodles, canned tomato chunks, andchicken. I cooked some frozen vegetables on the side. I really wanted pasta, but we had no tomato sauce. My meal was edible, but there was not a lot offlavor. I have a whole week to improve my cooking skills.

Good News!!! I am now an expert at crossing the street here!In New Zealand they drive on the other side of the road. You have to look rightthen left. I am proud to say that I can do that.

Well, I am off to do whatever exciting things I can think ofthis morning since I am free of school for the day.

P.S. I did eat the avocado that was sitting on the bench.

Also, for orientation I went to a Maori Village. That is avery big part of “New Zealand”. There were so many things I forgot to write about it.The village was a lot of fun. I saw dances, games, and heard songs.
