Random Thoughts

Hello again! I can't believe how fast last week went by. Honestly, I can't believe how fast this month went by. I have been in New Zealand for only two weeks now, but it feels like a lot longer.

I go to the grocery store with my flatmates once a week to buy food. I don't know when we will go this week because my flatmate's car broke down yesterday when she was trying to get home from work. I like buying food here. I get to see another part of the city and I love going for car rides! That is the only time I am in a car. Back home, I need a car to go everywhere. Here, I walk. It is nice to be in the car because it is a little part of home. I know that sounds weird, but it is true. They drive on the opposite side of the road here. It is not that scary because most of the streets are one ways so I do not notice it. Every now and then when I am in the car I tense up because it looks like we are going to hit a car or something. I think it will be really weird coming back home and start driving again.

I talked to my friends on skype yesterday. They are all involved in the spring musical "Kiss me Kate". They are so excited that the show is coming together and a bit stress to get all the last minute details done. It was really nice to hear from them. I miss hanging out and doing nothing with them, especially with my friend Bobert. I told my friends about the rugby game I went to and not understanding a thing. I have never been to a rugby game before. My first experience was amazing. The fans were a bit insane. It was such a fun atmosphere.

My two week break is coming up. I met up with one of the girls I am going with last week to discuss more of the details. The plan is coming along nicely. I am still not to sure how many girls are coming. We started off with six and then dropped one and added two. I think now the group is going to split up. I am kind of bummed if that is the case because all the girls are fun to be with. I think it will be better though because we all have different interests and some are staying longer than others.

Well, I am off to enjoy the rest of my day. It rained all weekend and now the sun is finally out. I think I will go enjoy it before it goes away!
