  • One of the Top Midwest Colleges for Veterans

    U.S. News & World Report ranked Ohio Dominican University in its 2015 Midwest “Best Colleges for Veterans” list.

    The list recognizes the top schools that offer benefits to help military veterans and active-duty service members apply for, pay for, and complete their college education.

    The rankings include schools that meet each of the following criteria: they are a member of the Servicemember’s Opportunity Colleges Consortium; they are certified for the GI Bill; and they participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

  • Named Military Friendly School for 7th Year

    For the seventh consecutive year, Ohio Dominican University has been named a Military Friendly School by Victory Media.

    The 2016 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. 

    Ohio Dominican first launched the PATRIOTS Program 20 years ago to meet the educational needs of returning Vietnam veterans. Through PATRIOTS, veterans can achieve their academic goals, pursuing either an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree.

    The University reintroduced the PATRIOTS Program in response to the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, also known as the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Student Story

William Dinsmore '10, Communication Studies, joined the Army Reserves in 2005 and was stationed in Ramadi, Iraq.

He credits the ROTC program at ODU for helping him achieve his college degree.
