If you qualify for any of the following grants, you will be notified in a financial aid award letter.
  • Ohio Dominican University Grant
Grants are awarded to many full-time students who demonstrate financial need. Eligibility is determined each year and is based on your FAFSA results.
  • Ohio College Opportunity Grant
Eligibility for this state grant is determined by your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is obtained by completing the FAFSA.

Both full-time and part-time students may be eligible and you must be an Ohio resident.
  • Athletic Grants
Talented student athletes may be eligible for athletic grants in Ohio Dominican's intercollegiate sports programs. Award amounts vary based on audition and coach's recommendation.

Contact ODU's Athletic Department at (614) 251-4537 for additional information.
  • Federal Pell Grant
This is a need-based grant. Eligibility is based on expected family contribution (EFC) as calculated on the FAFSA.

Most students who qualify for a Pell Grant may receive it for full or part-time attendance.
  • Federal TEACH Grant
The TEACH Grant program provides up to $4,000 a year in grant assistance to an undergraduate student who agrees to serve for at least 4 years as a full-time teacher in a high-need field in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families.

A TEACH Grant recipient who does not complete their required teaching within a specified time frame or fails to meet certain other requirements of the TEACH Grant program will be required to repay the TEACH Grant as a direct unsubsidized loan under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.

  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) is awarded to Pell Grant recipients with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the FAFSA.

These awards range from $200 to $1,000 at Ohio Dominican University and are awarded to full-time students.
