Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
I chose Ohio Dominican because I was really looking to attend a smaller school where I could receive more individual attention from my professors and the staff. I also valued the opportunity to continue to be involved in an organized sport.
How do you stay involved at ODU?
Me and my teammates on ODU’s women’s basketball team participate in numerous events and activities on and off campus, such as volunteering during Make a Difference Day, decorating the Sisters’ house for Christmas, working with the Special Olympics, raising money for local charities and participating in Panther Pick-Up.
What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
So far, my most memorable moment here at ODU was when the women’s basketball team was recognized for being ranked top 10 nationally for GPA.
What do you want to do after graduation?
I aspire to become a Nurse Practitioner upon graduating from ODU and continuing my education.
What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?
Being a part of the women's basketball team has helped me become an independent individual and understand the importance of accepting challenges head-on no matter the obstacle.
How have you discovered your passion at ODU?
Being involved in volunteer work has helped me understand how fortunate I am to be able to give back to others and our community.
Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I considered a number of colleges after graduating from high school, and now that I have been at ODU for nearly three years, I am confident that I made the right choice. The reasons I decided on ODU have all be confirmed. The small class sizes and individual attention I have received is exactly what I have hoped for in a college experience.
