Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
I chose to attend Ohio Dominican because of the small class sizes, the inviting campus atmosphere, and the opportunity to compete in NCAA Division II athletics. In addition, ODU is the prefect distance away from home – it’s not too close but not too far.

How do you stay involved at ODU?
I stay involved by being part of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Being involved in these teams has allowed me to gain a great group of friends that all have different backgrounds, cultures and unique life experiences. Through these friendships, I have learned how to be accepting of different lifestyles and opinions from my own. I have also gained great time management skills by being a student-athlete while achieving high standards in the classroom.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
Some of my most memorable moments at ODU have happened while traveling with my teammates. Traveling and exploring new places are some of my favorite things to do, however, doing these things with my teammates always makes it even more memorable.

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?
One unique experience I’ve had at ODU was having the opportunity to create close relationships with my professors. My professors have helped me grow personally by pushing me to achieve my full potential in and out of the classroom. They’ve also helped me grow professionally by helping me prepare for the next steps in my career. After graduation I plan to attend law school somewhere in Ohio.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I am proud to be an ODU student because while studying at ODU I was provided with the best professors and I had the opportunity to continue my passion for running. I also made a lot of friends that I will never forget. ODU has given me the opportunity to become the first of my family members to graduate from college.
