Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?
I chose to attend Ohio Dominican because of its small class sizes and the outstanding reputation of the science department. Because I graduated from a small high school, the class sizes at ODU felt like a good fit for my personal learning style.
How do you stay involved at ODU?
I stay involved at ODU by participating in a variety of different organizations. I am currently the co-president of the Saint Albert Society, and I will be taking over the Pre-Physician Assistant Society in the near future. These organizations have given me a great group of friends that share the same interests as me, and they’ve become a strong support system.
What is your most memorable moment at ODU?
My most memorable moment at ODU was the nationally televised ODU football game against the University of Findlay. Since I came from a high school that did not have a football team, the televised game was a new and exciting experience for me.
What do you want to do after graduation?
After graduation, I will be attending ODU's Physician Assistant Studies program. I received early acceptance into the program, which is an honor that I will never forget. It has given me the confidence I need to believe in myself and my capabilities in an academic setting. I am so thankful for the opportunity to study in such a highly respected program and the chance to take one step closer toward my dream career.
Share an example or story of how you discovered your passion at ODU
My passion for science and the physician assistant career path was reinforced after taking several science classes with Dr. Brad Nelson and Dr. John Thistlethwaite. Because of these phenomenal professors, I have realize my love for learning and my passion for helping others.
Why are you proud to be an ODU student?
I am proud to be an ODU student because I know that I am receiving an education that is well respected. Ohio Dominican’s academic reputation makes me proud to say that I am a part of this university and will forever be a Panther.
