Academic Search Complete
ODU's most frequently used database, Academic Search Premier, is now Academic Search Complete with access to an even larger amount of full text articles. Academic Search Complete continues as the world's most comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals.

Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text
The Film & Television Literature Index database has been replaced with Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text. As its name implies, this database now contains more full-text articles for film and television research. Subject coverage includes film and television theory, preservation and restoration, writing, production, cinematography, technical aspects, and reviews.

LexisNexis Academic
LexisNexis has an updated look and search options. Its new "Easy Search" form makes it easier to select source categories and the "Power Search" allows for more control of your searches. LexisNexis Academic continues to provide full-text news articles from national and international newspapers and magazines as well as business, financial and medical news, legal research resources, company and industry information, biographies, country and regional reports, and the World Almanac and Book of Facts.

LGBT Life with Full Text
LGBT Life with Full Text replaces the GLBT database. It contains full-text for 50 of the most important and historically significant lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues journals, magazines and regional newspapers, as well as dozens of full text monographs.

Natural & Alternative Treatments
Natural & Alternative Treatments replaces Evidence-Based Complimentary Medicine. This database offers detailed information on conventional and natural health treatments, herbs and supplements, drug-herb and drug-supplement interactions, and the healthy properties of foods.

Discontinued Databases:

  • English Short Title Catalogue
  • Handbook of Latin American Studies
  • Hispanic Legislation (World Law Index, Part 1)
