Annual Book Sale
The ODU Library Annual Book Sale is going on now through November 15. We have a variety of items for sale including books, magazines, and more. Items are locted near the main entrance of Spangler Learning Center, and prices start at $0.25. Shop early! Shop often! Sale selections change frequently, but when they're gone, they're gone!

NetLibrary's E-book of the month
Every month OCLC's NetLibrary offers a different e-book. November's e-book is Invisible China by Colin Legerton and Jacob Rawson. Follow the authors on their travels through China as they learn about the country's minority peoples and the minority experience in Chinese society. You can access the e-book of the month from the link on the right side of NetLibrary's homepage.

October is Food for Fines Month!
This October, you can pay off your library fines AND contribute to help those in need all at the same time! The ODU Library is participating again in Campus Ministry’s Canned Food Drive during the month of October 2009. Acceptable items include any size cans, glass containers or jars, packages such as pasta or sauces, or boxed items such as rice or cereal. Items that are not acceptable include perishable items or items marked “Not Labeled For Retail Sale.” For each can or package of non-perishable food items donated, you can take $1.00 off your total library fines (including OhioLINK fees). The total number donated may cover the total amount of your fines OR any part of the total. We will also accept items for donation if no fines are owed, but will not apply that amount “on credit” toward future fines. Contact Circulation Services for more information.

Due to Pandemic H1N1 Influenza (formerly known as Swine Flu) and concerns about the 2009/2010 flu season, the EBSCO Publishing Medical and Nursing editors of DynaMed™, Nursing Reference Center™ (NRC) and Patient Education Reference Center™ (PERC) have made key influenza information from these resources freely available to health care providers worldwide.
