How Can I Find Out if an Article is Available Online? - cont. If you are not in a database: If you are not already connected to a Research Database and want to find out if a particular article is online, then you can use a search tool called the Electronic Journal Finder. The Electronic Journal Finder will tell you if a specific journal is online, which of its articles are available in full text, and in which databases. You can access
the Electronic Journal Finder near the top of the library's Articles
in Databases web page. Here is an example of a journal listing in the Electronic Journal Finder:
As indicated in the image above, the Electronic Journal Finder shows that the American Journal of Human Genetics is available in the database Academic Search Premier, specifically the journal's issues from January 01, 1999 to the present.
