Covers contemporary education issues, and indexes core international periodicals, monographs, and yearbooks in education.  Updated monthly.

 

Education Research Complete
Includes scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education, including curriculum instruction, administration, policy, funding, and related social issues. Coverage includes journals, books, and conference papers. Some publications indexed as far back as the beginning of the twentieth century.

 

Electronic Journal Center

Presents over 4300 research journals, covering numerous subject areas.

 

ERIC

ERIC is the U.S. Department of Education's Educational Resource Information Center database which contains citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals.  It also contains full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information. Updated quarterly.

 

Social Sciences Citation Index (ISI Web of Science)

Citations. Indexes articles of scholarly journals from 50 disciplines of the social sciences, with searchable author abstracts and a unique feature that enables searching of articles that cite a known author or work. Note: Not intended as a substitute for a comprehensive subject database such as SocINDEX, which comprehensively indexes journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and other documents.

Primary Search
Includes coverage from 50 children’s magazines and over 100 children’s pamphlets, designed for the elementary school student.  Updated weekly.

 

Professional Development Collection
Full-Text. Provides a highly specialized collection of electronic information especially for professional educators, professional librarians and education researchers.

Choose a TITLE search and type in the title of the journal or newspaper you desire.

 

·          The library's journals and magazines are located:
 
(1) In print in the Periodicals section on the top floor, arranged alphabetically by title
(2) Back issues in print (usually prior to 1960) in the Back Issues Room on the bottom floor
(3) In microfilm in cabinets behind the Periodicals section
