Audiovisuals & Media

The ODU Library collection contains over 2,100 DVDs, VHS tapes, CD-ROMs, and CDs. For playing audiovisual materials, three DVD/VHS players with monitors and two CD/cassette players are available for use in the library. Headphones may be checked out at the Circulation Desk.

Online Audiovisual Resources

AP Images  AP Images, a division of The Associated Press, is one of the world’s largest collections of historical and contemporary imagery. Also included are news graphics and audio clips.
The ART Collection  The ART Collection provides high-quality, digital images of works of art from museums around the world.
C-Span Video Library  Every C-SPAN program aired since 1987, now totaling over 170,000 hours, is contained in the C-SPAN Archives and immediately accessible online.
Educational Films and Documentaries  Provides acces to full-length educational films and documentaries on many subjects from Ambrose Video and from Films for the Humanities and Sciences.
Encyclopedia of Physics Demonstrations  Provides acces to 600 videos of physics experiments. Videos are available in RealVideo format and may be streamed or downloaded.
History & Archives Digital Resources  A collection of pictures and archives about Ohio history that have been contributed by Ohio museums and libraries.
NYPL Digital Gallery  The New York Public Library's digital collection of drawings, illuminated manuscripts, maps, photographs, posters, prints, rare illustrated books, and more.
OhioLINK's Digital Resource Commons (DRC)   A service that collects, preserves, and distributes digital material, including images, sounds, and video in the subjects of art, architecture, history, and science.
Saskia Art History Images  A collection of digital images of works of Western Art. It has a special emphasis on the core images required for teaching the history of Western Art from the textbooks Gardner's Art Through the Ages, Stokstad's History of Art, and Hartt's History of Italian Renaissance Art.
Science Digital Resources 

A collection of digital videos, digital images, science experiments, and documentation related to the sciences.

SpringerImages (Free Collection)  A free collection of images from a variety of subjects including: Life Sciences, Medicine and Public Health, Genetics, and many more.
