Peer Advisors are a group of upper-class students who are committed to supporting first-year students as they make the transition to Ohio Dominican University. Peer Advisors work with their advisees from the first day of Orientation, August 18, through the end of the year. Peer Advisors help new students build community, learn their way around campus and become more aware and comfortable with all that ODU offers.

Peer Advisors are matched with either an IDS 179 course or an ENG 100B course. The Peer Advisor will work directly with each student in the section they are assigned. If, by chance, a first-year student is not enrolled in either course, they will still be assigned a Peer Advisor.

During Orientation, there will be designated times when Peer Advisors will meet with their group. Throughout the year, new students will have a variety of opportunities to connect with their Peer Advisor. That may happen through email, in the residence halls, at campus events or through special activities the Peer Advisor plans specifically for their group. Each Peer Advisor strives to be a resource and support for their advisees.
