Robert L. “Bob” Osborne, Assistant Professor of Accounting, received an Associate’s degree in accounting from Parkersburg Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration - Accounting from Marshall University, a Master of Science degree in Management from the University of Central Texas, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Park University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration from Northcentral University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Business Manager (CBM), and an Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP).
Mr. Osborne has held multiple adjunct teaching positions at Columbus State Community College, Franklin University, Park University, and the Community College of Aurora. He has many years of professional auditing and accounting experience. In 2004 he retired from the Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) where he was employed as a Senior Manager of Accounting. In 1996, he retired from the United States Army Reserves where he served as a Finance Officer.
He is a member of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), Association of Government Accountants (AGA), American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), American Institute of Professional Business Managers (AIPBM) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Osborne is Co-Director of Professional Certification for the Greater Columbus Chapter of AGA. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Marshall University Alumni Association (MUAA) serving on the Finance committee. He is a resident of Pickerington.
