Margaret A. “Maggie” Gilmore is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in Ohio Dominican University's Division of Business. Maggie received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton and her Master of Taxation degree from Capital University Law School. She also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), specializing in corporate taxation and financial statement accounting for income taxes.
Prior to joining the Division of Business as a full-time faculty member, Maggie was an adjunct faculty member with ODU. She also held both adjunct and full-time faculty teaching positions with Franklin University in the MBA and Accounting programs. In addition to her teaching experience, Maggie has several years of professional experience as a CPA. Her first 10 years were spent with Big 4 international accounting firm Deloitte Tax, of which the last three years she was a Tax Senior Manager. More recently, Maggie served as Director of Corporate Tax Services with Clarus Partners, a Columbus, Ohio-based CPA firm. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), and a founding member of the Columbus Association of Tax Professionals (CATP). Maggie is on the 2013-2014 OSCPA Executive Board and is an AICPA CPA Ambassador. She also has served on the Board of Directors for Catholic Social Services (2003-2009) and International Visitors Council (1999-2003).
