Ohio Dominican Welcomes Katie Buzenski as Assistant Director of Campus Ministry

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University is proud to welcome ODU alumna Katie Buzenski as Assistant Director of Campus Ministry. She began her official duties on April 14, 2009.

“One of Katie’s strengths that caught my attention was her extensive and diverse connections with the ODU community,” said Father John Boll Campus Chaplin and Director of Campus Ministry. “As Katie is an alumna who was very active in leadership while she was a student, she knows many faculty and staff. Also, as a current adjunct faculty she has established new connections with faculty and current students. These connections are a great asset to the work of Campus Ministry.”

As an Ohio Dominican student Katie was heavily involved in student and faith life including activities such as Student Government, Campus Ministry, Panther Activity Council and Peer Advising. Along with those activities Katie also participated as a Youth Minister at St. Cecilia Catholic Church and a substitute teacher in Catholic Schools.

In addition she is an adjunct professor of Theology at Ohio Dominican. She has also worked as a Personal Tutor and a ABA Therapist/Autism Tutor for two years. Also she has been a volunteer for youth retreat teams and children’s liturgies.

“I am excited to return and participate in the Ohio Dominican community,” Katie said.  “There is such a positive momentum on the campus and I am glad to be a part of that. I feel called and challenged to provide opportunities for spiritual enrichment for the students, faculty, and staff so that we feel more engaged with one another and the larger community in our common search for Truth, which is the backbone of this Dominican University”. Katie’s office is located in Erskine Hall Room 104 and she resides in Galloway, Ohio.
