Ohio Dominican University Wins MARCOM Awards



University is recognized with two platinum awards

COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio Dominican University’s external marketing efforts have been recognized by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals in its 2008 MarCom Awards Competition. The university received two Platinum Awards; one for The Ohio Dominican University Magazine’s Fall 2007 issue featuring the Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center, and for an admission brochure entitled “A True Life.”

The MarCom’s prestigious Platinum Award is the highest honor bestowed in the competition.  Platinum winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity, and resourcefulness.  There were over 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in the 2008 competition.  About 18 percent of those entries received this high honor.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.  The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.  Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
