Ohio Dominican's MBA Program to Offer Concentration in Public Administration This Fall
Ohio Dominican University (ODU) will offer a new Public Administration Concentration in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program beginning this fall.
The Program is designed to support the effective development of aspiring governmental managers and senior governmental leaders. The concentration focuses on strategic management and leadership as well as management issues related to improving organizational performance. The concentration retains the strong MBA core course sequence while substituting four courses specifically designed for those wishing to focus on acquiring the administrative knowledge and skills in such diverse areas as budgeting, government relations, personnel policies, politics and urban planning.
The classes for the Public Administration Program incorporate the traditional MBA program with new classes created for the concentration; MBA 554 Public Administration; MBA 615 Public Policy; MBA 635 Accounting for Government and Nonprofit Organizations; MBA 655 Public Budgeting and Finance; and MBA 690P Capstone Learning Experience.
The MBA Concentration offers students an opportunity to complete the Ohio Dominican University MBA Program in as few as 18 months while attending evening classes on a traditional academic calendar at the main campus. This means that students may begin the program throughout the academic year at any of four start times: August, October, January and March.
MBA Program costs are $450 per credit hour and Financial Aid is available for eligible Graduate students. Aspiring students who want to apply should submit an application to: Office of Graduate Admissions, 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219. For more information contact Jill M. Westerfeld M.L.H.R.
