Ohio Dominican Hossts Free Financial Investment Workshop April 20th

Columbus, OH – Ohio Dominican University will host a free financial investment workshop, “Women and Investing,” on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held in the second floor conference room of ODU’s Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center, 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219.

Refreshments will be served from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. and the program will follow from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Guest parking is available in the Gold Lot, West of Sunbury Road on St. Dominic Way. The workshop is free and open to the public; however reservations are required and can be made by contacting Tiffany Pirwitz at 614-251-4274 or e-mail.

The event will feature a panel of local business professionals and an ODU faculty member that include:

  • Dr. Martha Armstrong, Professor and Social Work Program Director at Ohio Dominican University
  • Marc B. Crigger, Regional Manager, Private Wealth Group of Lord Abbett 
  • Melissa Powelson, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), Certified Special Needs Advisor (CSNA), Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch 
  • Larry Tyree, First Vice President – Investments, Wealth Management Advisor, Resident Director with Merrill Lynch

Last October, Ohio Dominican announced a five event series of financial investment workshops entitled “Financial Survival in Today’s Economy.” This series is sponsored by Merrill Lynch.
