ODU to Host Mission: Employable Career Fair for Military Veterans


Columbus, OH (43219) – Ohio Dominican University (ODU) is proud to partner with the Women of War Foundation and other organizations to host Mission: Employable, a career fair for veteran and active duty military members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their spouses. 

The career fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., October 27 at ODU’s LEAD campus, 2600 Airport Drive, Columbus, 43219. 

In addition to training workshops, the hiring fair will include private section resume building, information on the federal hiring process, and motivational guidance for the veteran job seekers. Attendees will also receive free football tickets to the ODU game on Oct. 27. 

Attendees are urged to dress in business attire, bring copies of their resumes as well as their DD 214s as staff from Franklin County Recorder Daphne Hawk’s office will be on-site to record them. 

"Ohio Dominican University has a long history of supporting our veterans and their families.  The Mission: Employable initiative expands this support in a powerful and timely way as veterans work to reintegrate themselves back into the civilian workforce,” said Major General Dennis Laich (Ret.) Gen. Laich is the Director of ODU's PATRIOTS Program.

The 2013 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.
