Ohio Dominican University Hosts First Annual Alumni Panther 5K Run and Walk


Columbus, OH (43219) – Ohio Dominican University (ODU) invites runners and walkers of all ages and skill level to its first annual ODU Alumni Panther 5K Run and Walk April 20 on its main campus, located at 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus, 43219.  

The event is open to the public. The schedule is as follows: 

  • 8 a.m. – Pick up registration packets at the Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center 
  • 8:45 a.m. – Pre-race Kickoff 
  • 9 a.m. –  Children’s Mascot Race with Thunder 
  • 9:15 a.m. – Competitive 5K Run and Walk 

The run and walk will begin at the west end of the Panther Sports Complex and finish at Alumni Hall. The course includes three laps around the ODU campus. 

“The Alumni Association Council is very excited to host its first annual 5K race on the ODU campus,” said Ann Snider, ODU’s director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. “This will give alumni and friends an opportunity to see our beautiful campus during spring, while also promoting health and wellness.” 

Early registration costs $25. Late registration begins March 1 and costs $35. Children 12 and under can participate in the mascot race free of charge.
