COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican University will serve as the host site for the inaugural Foundation Camp Day, sponsored by the 22nd Foundation, on Saturday, July 14, 2012. The event will give 200 underprivileged youths between the ages of 8 and 14 the opportunity to experience non-traditional urban sports.

Participants will receive free tennis, golf, soccer, basketball and football instruction from professional athletes from the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour, Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour, National Basketball Association, and the National Football League.

In its first year, the 22nd Foundation is partnering with Ace with Love Tennis and First Tee Golf to offer lessons and ultimately create an athletic program that will focus on tennis, golf, and lacrosse, just to name a few events. In addition to the sports program, the 22nd Foundation will develop an All Star Foundation that gives existing competitive players the opportunity to travel and compete in tournaments.

Following the Foundation Camp Day slated to take place during the earlier part of the day, the 22nd Foundation will host a celebrity basketball game at 6:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall. The basketball game will feature camp instructors as well as Hollywood celebrities, AND 1 Mixtape basketball players and local urban professionals. Proceeds from the game will benefit the 22nd Foundation programs and youth scholarships.

Tickets for the game are available now at all Ticketmaster locations or online at ticketmaster.com. To make a donation to sponsor a youth group, call 614-483-8649.
