Perry Named to NSCAA College Division Scholar All-Region East Team
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Ohio Dominican University’s (ODU’s) women’s soccer senior player Shara Perry (Hilliard, Ohio) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s (NSCAA) 2012 Women’s College Division Scholar All-East Region Honorable Mention team.
Perry, a double major in Exercise Science and Biology, carries a 3.96 grade point average. She was awarded the Capital One Academic All-District award and selected to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Second-Team All-Conference. In 2012, she played in 18 games for the ODU Panthers in the backfield. Perry recorded one goal and two assists.
Perry helped the Panther squad to a 10-6-3 overall record and a 6-4-3 conference mark.
ODU is a full member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II and a member of the GLIAC. The University sponsors 18 varsity sports, including baseball, softball, football, volleyball, as well as men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and track and field, both indoor and outdoor.
