Welcome new Panthers! Orientation is the kickoff for your college experience. You’ll meet other students, register for classes and experience life at Ohio Dominican. 

Attendance at one orientation session is required:

  • June 4 & 5, deadline is May 29
  • June 18 & 19, deadline is May 12
  • July 17 & 18, deadline is Jun 10

Students are required to stay in ODU's residence halls during orientation. Rooms are also available for parents and guests (see below).

In addition to making new friends, meeting faculty and exploring ODU’s vibrant campus community, you’ll take care of details like taking your ID photo and buying books. 

Students should bring a notebook and pen/pencil, comfortable clothing and shoes, and an umbrella (just in case).

    During orientation, students will get to know their classmates, talk to peer advisors about what to expect during their first year, and take care of academic details before classes begin.

    During ODU orientation, parents receive information about tuition, billing and financial assistance, academic advising and registration, health and safety, and valuable support services for their student.

Accommodations for Students & Parents

  • Stay on Campus
    All students are required to stay on campus during orientation. 
    • There is no cost for students to stay on campus.
    • Please bring your own linens, towels, pillows and toiletries
    Overnight accommodations are also available on campus for out-of-town parents and guests. 
    • The cost to parents and other guests is $30 for a room with a single bed.
    • All guests must bring their own linens, towels, pillows and toiletries.
    • Students can reserve a room for parents/guests when they register for orientation. You can have the cost charged to your student account, or pay by check or cash when you arrive.
    • Deadline to reserve a room is the Friday the week prior to orientation
