Ohio Dominican University’s (ODU’s) student theater organization, the Panther Players, will perform “The Taxi Cabaret” on select dates from April 25-28. The performances will take place in the newly renovated Sr. Mary Andrew Matesich, OP Theatre, located in Erskine Hall on ODU’s campus, 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus 43219.
General admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for students under 18 and seniors 65 and older. Children under five will be admitted free. Admission is also free for students who show their ODU ID. Free parking is available in the Gold Lot, located west of Sunbury Road.
“The Taxi Cabaret” will be presented on the following dates:
- 7 p.m., Thursday, April 25
- 7 p.m., Saturday, April 27
- 4 p.m., Sunday, April 28
“The Taxi Cabaret” follows six people in their twenties during their first year in New York City. Scottie, an aspiring novelist, discovers you do not have to suffer to write. Mark and Sara test their relationship when they move in together. Zach lives an EZ-Pass lifestyle, while the eternally unlucky but relentlessly optimistic Karen falls for him, only to have her heart broken. C.C. is an actress/temp who longs for something in her life that will last more than sixteen bars.

The Panther Players is a student organization of Ohio Dominican where participants enhance their communication and acting skills. Students have the opportunity to act, direct and build set designs for various productions.
ODU’s historic Matesich Theatre recently underwent a $1 million refurbishment, during which crews repaired and strengthened the theater's exterior walls and roof, restored its wood and plaster work, painted its interior walls and ceiling, and replaced its seats, carpet and stage curtain.
