Ohio Dominican University has received more than $32,000 in endowment distributions from The Catholic Foundation. The funds will help provide scholarship assistance to individuals in the Diocese of Columbus who are engaged in pastoral or institutional ministry through ODU’s Master of Arts in Theology program. The funds also will support initiatives that help develop and maintain the University’s Catholic identity.
“We are very grateful to our friends at The Catholic Foundation for their partnership and generous gift, which will help to provide important financial resources to our outstanding students to help make an ODU education possible,” said ODU’s President Robert Gervasi, Ph.D. “In addition to the important financial assistance it provides, this gift allows us to explore opportunities that promote Ohio Dominican’s Catholic identity, and the many benefits of higher education rooted in the Catholic and Dominican tradition.”
An endowment fund is designed to function in perpetuity, making it possible for long-term financial support to a chosen cause. Once established, anyone can make additional contributions to the fund in any dollar amount.
