Three students from Ohio Dominican were given the opportunity to attend the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Central Ohio Chapter Luncheon on January 8 in Columbus, Ohio to discuss a recent national case challenge they had completed in an accounting class.
ODU students Amanda Booth, Bryan Adkison, and Brandon Breese shared their experiences about the 2008 AGA Government Finance Case Challenge at the luncheon. The case challenge required students to create a Citizen-Centric report that analyzes performance management systems for government entities. Ohio Dominican was one of the seventeen universities who participated in the national case challenge.
Robert L. Osborne the assistant professor of accounting here at the University asked for student volunteers for this project and received many responses. “The students did a great job with the presentation and represented Ohio Dominican University with pride,” said Osborne.
