If you are interested....Work with your advisor to determine which semester will best fit into your academic schedule. Most students choose to study abroad during their junior year. Other options exist based on your academic plan.
Travel with other ODU students and an ODU faculty member. Programs last from a week to half a semester. Cost typically includes travel, accommodations and some meals. For 2010-2011 ODU offers two spring break short-term programs to Barbados and El Salvador and four May Term programs to Germany & Switzerland, Guatemala, Ireland, and Rome. There will also be a program offered in June to Costa Rica.
Overseas programs are managed by another U.S. or foreign institution. Programs vary in length from a few weeks to a semester. ODU students are enrolled along with other students from other U.S. or foreign institutions. Classes are taught either in English, or in the language of the host country. Students will pay ODU tuition (unless host university's tuition is higher) and the remaining program fee to the host institution.
Visit the ODU Education Abroad Programs page to view all of your options!
