Communication Studies
Ohio Dominican University's Communication Studies majors learn the role of communication in interpersonal, group, organizational, mass media and computer mediated contexts. Students learn how to properly deliver public presentations and recognize persuasive appeals commonly used in society.

Faculty Highlights
DR. JIM SCHNELL
Dr. Jim Schnell is a Fulbright Scholar. He has published 13 books, more than 70 book chapters and journal articles, and has authored more than 150 conference presentations. He retired from the U.S. Air Force (Reserve) at the rank of Colonel after 30 years of service. He spent the final 14 years as an Assistant Air Attaché to China.
Bill Vensel
Bill Vensel is Chairperson of the Communication Studies area. His prior experience as ODU Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Dean of the ODU LEAD program help provide clear administrative guidance for the major.
