• Mission

    The Criminology and Criminal Justice program at Ohio Dominican provides students with knowledge and skills necessary for success in postgraduate education as well as private and public sector careers in criminal justice, social services and public policy. The major provides knowledge of the criminal justice system, the agencies that comprise the system and analysis of contemporary policy concerns. Students develop critical thinking, effective research skills, and awareness of the social, political, historical, ethical, and economic forces that affect criminal justice. Students who major in Criminology and Criminal Justice develop knowledge of criminological theory and the ability to apply theory and ethical considerations to the analysis of the criminal justice system and policy.
