Award Letter

• If all required financial aid paperwork is complete, you will receive your award letter via your ODU email account once attendance of your first class has been verified (orientation does not count).  Please note if you only attend one night of class, you will not be eligible to receive any student loans.
• Your award letter will detail all of your grant and loan eligibility with amounts and dates of disbursements for your academic year.
• For the LEAD program, an academic year is defined as a period of instructional time consisting of 24 credit hours and 30 weeks in the undergraduate program and 24 credit hours and 48 weeks in the graduate program.
• You will be awarded MAXIMUM eligibility. If you want an amount less than what you are awarded, you must notify the Financial Aid Office immediately.
• If you withdraw from the program prior your first loan disbursement being disbursed, you will not be eligible to receive any of your loan funds.
