    Major: Public Relations
    Class Year: Senior

    Hometown: Pickerington, Ohio
Organizations & Activities: Women’s Golf, Resident Assistant, Secretary of the Panther Activities Council, and President’s Society

Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?

I chose to attend ODU because of the small class sizes and the perks of being located just outside of downtown Columbus. I also liked that I would have the opportunity to be a part of the women's golf team.

How do you stay involved at ODU?

I stay involved in a variety of ways – I am a member of the golf team, a Resident Assistant, the secretary of the Panther Activities Council, and a member of the President's Society.

By participating in these organizations, I have gained the ability to juggle many tasks at once and work in groups toward a common goal. These organizations have also taught me the importance of networking and putting myself out there.

Have you participated in any internships?

I had a great opportunity to intern at The Memorial golf tournament. This internship helped prepare me for my desired career in event planning by allowing me to work in various hospitality venues while managing unexpected issues without clients noticing.

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?

My most memorable moment at ODU was the 2013 nationally televised football game because the whole community came together to support the Panthers!

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?

Being able to work in small groups in my Public Relations classes has helped me grow professionally because I’ve been able to refine my teamwork skills and delegate tasks among group members.

This will help me in the future as I plan events. I’ll be able to go back and reflect on what techniques worked for group work and what didn't.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?

I am so proud to be an ODU student because this is a community where every staff member is committed to helping students succeed in the classroom.

They’ve been wonderful in helping me and my classmates find internships and other shadowing opportunities.
