    Malik Tuck

    Major: Public Relations
    Class Year: Junior

    Hometown: Medina, Ohio
Organizations & Activities: Vice President of Panther Activities Council and Panther Krazies, Assistant Manager of RadiODU and Student Ambassador

Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?

I transferred to ODU after hearing about its new Track team. Once I was here, I immediately fell in love with the people and the school! I’m so glad I made the decision to transfer to ODU.

How do you stay involved at ODU?

I always try to find different ways to help out around camps. By joining groups and taking on leadership roles, I’ve been able to not only stay involved on campus, but also meet great people. Participating in the Panther Activities Council, Panther Krazies, RadiODU and ODU’s Track team has helped me grow and become the person I am today.

Each organization offers its own unique set of challenges and solutions, and they have helped me realize my strengths as well as the things I need to work on.

What would you say to a prospective student who is considering attending ODU?

ODU is a great school with great people, and the education I’m receiving is top notch. A big benefit of attending ODU is that you get to live just minutes from downtown Columbus, which is a great city. There is always something new and fun to experience!

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?

It’s really hard to narrow it down to just one. My roommates and I create so many memories throughout the year, and they are all special and unique in their own way. I know I’ll cherish these memories forever.

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually?

This past year happened to be one of the most challenging yet, both academically and athletically. While frustrating at times, those experiences helped me realize there will always be tough times throughout life, but that those tough times make tough people.

What sets ODU apart from other universities you could have attended?

ODU’s small class sizes and the opportunity to know your classmates really set ODU apart. While on campus, it really feels like you are with family. The professors know you by name and they’re always willing to help. This is the perfect university for me.

How proud are you to be an ODU student?

I am very proud to be an ODU student! ODU has helped shape me into the person I am today, and it continues to impact me every day. My experiences in the classroom and on the field have helped me grow as a leader and a man.
