Why did you choose to attend Ohio Dominican University?

I chose to attend Ohio Dominican University for many reasons. One reason is because of its awesome location. Another reason is because of the small class sizes, which offers me opportunities to have one-on-one time with each of my professors.

I also chose Ohio Dominican because of its quality education. I had heard so many great things about the education program here and I knew it would help prepare me for a great future. I also chose ODU to participate in its successful softball team.

How do you stay involved at ODU? What organizations do you participate in? What have you gained from them?

I always try to find different activities that are going on throughout campus. Going to the different sporting events helps you meet great people and create new friendships.

I volunteer in an organization called 2nd and Seven. We visit inner-city schools and read stories to students that teach them good morals that are helpful in their daily lives. There are so many different activities happening on campus that it's almost hard to get bored!

What is your most memorable moment at ODU?

My most memorable moment at ODU is basically any time that I am with my softball teammates. We always find ways to have fun no matter what we are doing. If you ever need a good laugh, just hang out with the softball team. We spend almost every day together, so the bond that we have as a team is something that cannot be broken. I will forever cherish the friendships I’ve made on the team.

What do you want to do after graduation? Do you have a job lined up? How did you find that job?

After graduation, I will pursue a career as an intervention specialist at a school in the Columbus area.

What is one unique experience you’ve had at ODU that has helped you grow personally, professionally and/or spiritually? Why?

A unique opportunity that I get to experience at ODU is to be involved on the softball team. This challenges me to have very good time management and organizational skills. Even though it can be frustrating at times, getting through the hard times help make me the person I am today. These experiences have helped me become a more responsible and well-rounded individual.

Why are you proud to be an ODU student?

I am proud to be an ODU student because of what it represents – a quality education, a close-knit student body, and the hardworking students and staff on campus. These are the things that will continue to help ODU grow into a well-known university. I will always take pride in calling myself a Panther!
