Students who pursue a degree with Ohio Dominican University’s top-quality, pre-professional programs for pre-med, pre-veterinary, pre-dentistry, pre-law and pre-physician assistant gain a solid academic foundation to pursue future studies.
Our professors and staff work with students to develop a beneficial academic advising structure and establish an appropriate undergraduate degree curriculum. This further ensures students’ educational experience is dynamic. In addition to the standard course work, students may collaborate with their advisor to create an independent study program, which will allow them to explore a particular topic or project in their chosen discipline.
This coursework prepares students for the respective admissions tests, including the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
Ohio Dominican University specifically recognizes Political Science and Philosophy, both with Pre-Law Concentrations, as pre-law majors. However, Ohio Dominican’s strong liberal arts curriculum makes it an ideal university for pre-law studies because the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a classic liberal arts exam. Read our Pre-Professional Programs brochure to learn why ODU is an ideal university for pre-health and pre-law majors.
