What is Institutional Research at Ohio Dominican University?

The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) works collaboratively with the University’s administrative and academic units to provide accurate and timely information. The purpose of this information is to support both the University’s mission and the units’ decision making processes. Examples of the information the OIR may provide can include retention studies, assessment studies, the development and distribution of a University fact book, and the creation and maintenance of comparative peer group studies.

In addition, OIR is responsible for (a) providing data to external requestors, such as regional and specialized accreditation agencies; (b) providing data, such as enrollment information, to internal constituents who submit ad hoc requests; and (c) fulfilling the University’s obligation of reporting data to the National Center for Education Statistics.
