Ohio Dominican Professor and Students Attend Ohio Society of CPAs Recognition Luncheon

COLUMBUS, OH – Jacob Moran (Columbus, OH 43204), a junior majoring in
Accounting at Ohio Dominican University, was one of four students presented with
a $300 scholarship by the Columbus Chapter of the Ohio Society of CPAs at their
annual Recognition Luncheon in late September. Scott Voynich, Chairman of the
American Institute of CPAs was the event’s keynote speaker. ODU’s
accounting Professor Peter Margaritas, as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee
in Central Ohio, presented Moran with his award.
Also representing the University at the luncheon, along with Moran and Margaritas,
were Accounting students Jason Smith (Ontario, OH), Michael Lee (Cincinnati, OH),
Katherine Moss (Andover, MN), and Phillip Kelley (Columbus, OH 43207).
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is the national,
professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. Its mission
is to provide members with the resources, information, and leadership that enable
them to provide valuable services in the highest professional manner to benefit
the public as well as employers and clients.
