October 7, 2004
COLUMBUS, OH - Saturday, October 23, Ohio Dominican University will be supporting
a community event to "Educate for the Common Good" by participating in Make
a Difference Day.
In a school-wide initiative, ODU students, faculty, staff and alumni are volunteering
their time and effort in various activities throughout the day. Participants will lend a
helping hand to organizations such as MAP-Material Assistance Providers Inc., Habitat for
Humanity, Mohun Health Care Center, and many more.
In the afternoon, the event will continue with a home ODU football game. The
University will be hosting a kid-friendly tailgate party with rides, face painting, and
games for the families.
The athletic department will be accepting donations of canned food for ODU's ongoing
food drive for admission to the game. Anyone who brings six cans will get into the
game for free and receive a free ODU T-shirt.
