The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction degree program is designed for practicing,
certified or licensed teachers. To accommodate teachers' work schedules, the program
is structured around evening classes in the fall and spring, with two five-week summer
sessions. The M.Ed program is designed to prepare practicing teachers with advanced
knowledge of skills in content and pedagogy, by establishing a culture for learning,
and research experiences intended to encompass the application of theory to practice
for myriad learners.
The Master of Liberal Studies offers students the opportunity to experience some
of the greatest art, philosophy, literature, film, and political theory of our culture.
Through the MA in Liberal Studies, students develop many transferable skills -- writing,
research, and communication, to name a few. Additionally, the program enables students
to design their own coursework to best suit their interests, working closely with a
faculty mentor.
The Master of Arts in Theology program is a holistic course of study that helps
people develop the personal and professional skills needed for effective church ministry,
and has been designed in conversation with the Diocese of Columbus. Although
focused on the needs of current and future lay ministers in the Catholic Church,
the program is open to non-Catholics, ordained ministers and students preparing
for doctoral study in theology.
