Ohio Dominican Appoints Director of Planned Giving and Director of Human Resources

COLUMBUS , OH — Ohio Dominican University is pleased to announce the appointments of Michael Welsch as Director of Planned Giving, and Debra Guilbert as Director of Human Resources.

Welsch comes to ODU from Capital University , where he served as Director of Advancement Services. He holds a master’s degree in Theology and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, both from the Pontifical College Josephinum. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Capital University.

Welsch is a member of Datatel, Inc., the Ohio Prospect Researchers’ Network and the Knights of Columbus. He resides in Millersport.

Guilbert recently served as the Director of Compensation Services for the Employers Resource Association. She also worked as Human Resource Coordinator for Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co; as Human Resources Manager for Reitter Stucco, Inc.; and as Assistant Director of Residence Life for Staff Training and Development at Providence College (RI). Guilbert received a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University; and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature with Secondary Education Certification from Ohio Wesleyan University .

uilbert is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Human Resource Association of Central Ohio, the Columbus Compensation Association and World at Work. She is SPHR certified and currently pursuing a Certified Compensation Professional designation. Guilbert resides in Dublin.
