Ohio Dominican Honors Staff for Years of Service

COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio Dominican University recently honored Lynda Huey, with a University Service Award in commemoration of her 25 years of service to the university.
Currently Huey is an Executive Assistant to the President, and is responsible for recording oral histories of ODU alumni/ae, friends, faculty and staff in preparation for the University’s Centennial celebration in 2011. She came to Ohio Dominican in 1980 and worked in the Advancement area for 22 years, 16 of which she served as Vice-President of Advancement.
Huey earned her undergraduate degree from DePauw University and is a resident of Galena, Ohio.
Ohio Dominican University also honored William Vensel and Dorothy Drugan with University Service Awards in commemoration of each of their 35 years of service to the university.
Vensel is currently the Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Ohio Dominican. Also an Associate Professor of Communications, Vensel previously served as Director of Theatre, advisor to the student newspaper, and Chair of the Division of Fine Art and Communication. In 1997, Vensel was appointed Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, and in 2001, he was promoted to lead the School of Undergraduate Studies as Dean.
Professor Vensel came to Ohio Dominican in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Drama from St. Ambrose College ( Iowa ) and a master’s degree in Theatre from Villanova University ( Pennsylvania ). Vensel is a doctoral candidate in Higher Education Leadership at Nova Southeastern University ( Florida ).
Vensel is a resident of Galena, Ohio.
Drugan is currently the Director fo Institutional Research at Ohio Dominican. She was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican.
Drugan is a resident of Columbus.
